Terms of service

Gelatotech is on a mission to connect customers with the best possible device install, support, and repair services — provided by our network of skilled technicians using top-quality replacement parts. We offer a 90-day warranty on all parts and labor for services booked through Gelatotech, except where it conflicts with the items listed below. We appreciate your business and value your trust. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to your device if you leave it with us for more than 30 days. It is your responsibility to retrieve your device within 30 days. If unforeseen circumstances prevent that, contact us as soon as possible to arrange safekeeping. We take every precaution to keep devices in our care safe and secure, but we cannot guarantee their condition after the 30-day period.

What the warranty excludes

The 90-day guarantee covers defects in the parts and labor of the repair we performed. It does not cover:

• Any subsequent damage of any kind caused to the device after the repair.
• Any mishandling that causes the frame to bend, twist, or crack.
• Damage resulting from misuse of any kind.
• Any kind of liquid damage.
• Any software-related issues.
• Faults unrelated to the original repair (e.g. if we replaced the charging port, the guarantee wouldn't cover a faulty power button; if we replaced a screen, it wouldn't cover the speakers).
• Loss of data — please back up your device before any repair.
• Any repair performed on the device after ours by someone other than a Gelatotech technician — this voids the guarantee.
• Any pre-existing condition noted before the repair.
• Cracked screens.
• Any known manufacturing or performance issues separate from the repair, as noted prior to the repair.
• Jailbroken devices.
• A non-working, damaged, or severed home button / biometric scanner.
• A non-working, damaged, or severed Face ID.
• Issues reported more than 3 days after the original service.
• Changes to water resistance, which can be affected by repairs in rare cases.

Using your warranty

• The 90-day warranty covers functional problems with the repair, such as an unresponsive touchscreen.
• For a warranty repair, the customer meets us within a 3-mile radius of a drop-off location.
• Warranty repairs include a $10 transportation fee (more outside the Bay Area), charged only when the customer can't meet at a drop-off location.

The guarantee is valid exclusively for the customer who purchased the repair and whose name is on the guarantee / invoice. It is not transferable if ownership of the device passes to another individual or business.

Privacy policy

We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to schedule and complete your repair, and we don't sell your information.

What we collect. When you book a repair, request a quote, or contact us, we collect the details you provide — your name, phone number, email address, service address (for on-demand visits), and a description of your device and issue.

How we use it. We use this information solely to confirm and carry out your repair, communicate with you about your booking, and provide support and warranty service. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our forms provider.

What we don't do. We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don't share it except as needed to perform your repair or as required by law.

Your device's data. Please back up your device before any repair. We don't access your personal files, and as noted above, the warranty does not cover loss of data.
